The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences

Student Production Awards logo design

The logo design had to be fun, easy to reproduce on a variety of media and promotional items and resonate with a high school audience.

(top) We created a powerpoint frame incorporating the logo that appeared on a huge screen announcing the winners. (below) The logo as seen in the official program booklet.

It was kind of cool to see my logo for the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Student Production Awards on a podium that Tom Bergeron of “Dancing with the Stars” fame was leaning on. Enjoyed seeing the logo again in the program book of the event held in Washington, D.C. at the Newseum. We were also asked to create a power point frame incorporating the logo that would display the winners on a giant screen at the venue.

It’s been interesting to see what other designers have done with the original logo to customize it for their region.

The logo was required to work in 4C and grayscale depending on the individual regions printing budget and capabilities.

The SunCoast chapter customized our original logo by using a rainbow strip top and bottom.

The NATAS logo was flexible so that it would be formatted for use on Facebook, Instagram, X and other social media.
